Terms & Conditions

About these terms
These terms provide some practical information about counselling with All Voices Counselling, the private practice of Mariama Mansfield-Njie, MBACP.
They are intended to make clear what you can expect from working with me and what I ask of you in return. They should be read alongside my Privacy Policy and Practice Governance information.
By booking an initial consultation or counselling session, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read and understand these terms.
My counselling service
I am a UK-qualified Person-Centred counsellor and MBACP registered practitioner. I provide non-diagnostic talking-therapy support and do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
My Person-Centred approach means that the content and direction of our sessions are guided by you, with space to explore what feels important to you at your own pace.
Counselling may not be suitable for everyone or for every situation. During an initial consultation, we can talk about what you're looking for and whether I am able to offer an appropriate service for your needs.
Sessions
- Individual counselling sessions are 50 minutes.
- Sessions are currently offered exclusively online through Omnia Therapy’s secure online platform.
- Sessions are currently £40 per online session, unless another concessionary fee has been agreed.
- An initial consultation is a brief 15-minute conversation to explore whether we may be a good fit to work together. There is no obligation to continue with counselling afterwards and there is no charge for this service.
- Bookings and payments are managed through Omnia Therapy, through which I provide my online counselling service.
Cancellations and rescheduling
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or a session is missed without notice, the session may be charged in full in accordance with the cancellation and refund arrangements provided during our counselling contracting.
I understand that unexpected circumstances can happen. If something arises, please contact me as soon as possible and we can discuss the situation.
Confidentiality
What you share with me in counselling is treated as confidential, within the limits of confidentiality explained in my Privacy Policy and our counselling agreement.
There are circumstances where confidentiality may need to be extended, including serious safeguarding concerns, serious and foreseeable risk of harm, or where I am required or permitted to disclose information by law.
Where it is appropriate and safe to do so, I will aim to discuss any necessary disclosure with you beforehand.
Professional standards and supervision
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
I also undertake regular professional supervision and maintain appropriate professional insurance and continuing professional development in accordance with my professional responsibilities.
Online counselling
As sessions take place online, you are responsible for joining sessions from a private and appropriate environment where you feel able to speak freely.
I will also conduct sessions from a private and confidential space.
Although I take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality and security of online counselling, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely free from technical or security risks.
If technical difficulties prevent a session from taking place, we will discuss the most appropriate way to rearrange or continue the session.
Emergencies and crisis support
My counselling service is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are experiencing an immediate risk to your safety or believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service rather than relying on email, the booking platform or a counselling session (please see the list of services and emergency contact numbers below).
If you are unsure whether counselling with me is appropriate for your circumstances, please raise this during your initial consultation so that we can consider what support may be most suitable.
